01
The Phase Highlighter
What is the Phase Highlighter?
It is the free self-reflection that shows you where to begin in the BA2B framework. In the words of the Emerge Companion Workbook:
“This reflection helps you discover which phase of metamorphosis you're currently inhabiting. Answer honestly, there are no right responses, only signals of where your energy is gathering.”
Mark the statements that feel most true right now. You may identify with more than one phase; that's natural.
What is the Phase Highlighter not?
This is a self-report orientation tool. It is not a validated psychometric instrument, and it is not a clinical or diagnostic assessment.
It does not screen for, name, or imply any mental health condition. It does not predict an outcome, an income, or a timeline.
Your result is a starting point for reflection and a guide to which part of the Emerge Companion Workbook to open first. That is the whole claim it makes.
The full disclaimer covers the rest of the site.
How is my result worked out?
Your thirty statements are grouped in blocks of six, one block per phase. Score each block on its own. Do not add them together, a single total cannot describe a cyclical process.
- A block scoring 4 or more is consolidated. That phase is largely done its work in you.
- Your current phase is the earliest phase scoring below 4. Not your highest score, the earliest gap. The phases are prerequisites, not a ladder you climb by agreeing with more statements.
- If all five blocks score 4 or more, you are in Flight and due a reassessment, not finished.
Wording from the scoring guide in the Emerge Companion Workbook.
What if more than one phase sounds like me?
That is expected, and the workbook says so directly:
“Your scores aren't a grade, they're a mirror. You may find yourself fully rooted in one phase, or gently spanning several at once. That's how transformation works: layered, cyclical, alive.”
“You are not meant to climb these phases like stairs. You're meant to move through them like breath, inhale, transform, exhale, begin again.”
Is it free, and do I have to give my email address?
It is free. When you finish the 30 statements, you leave your email address and your result is shown right away.
Your phase plan follows in your inbox, and it only happens with your clear consent. The Privacy Policy explains how your details are used.
When should I take it again?
The workbook's guidance on reassessing:
“At every phase handoff, after any setback that lasts longer than two weeks, and at ninety days regardless.”
02
The Emerge Foundation System
What is in the Emerge Foundation System?
Two things, sold together:
- The book, Emerge: The Science and Soul of Personal Transformation by Rhi Wright. 197 pages, 31 lessons.
- The Emerge Companion Workbook. 115 pages of guided exercises across all five phases.
The digital edition is $47. The print bundle is $67: a printed, perfect bound book and a coil bound workbook, plus the digital edition.
Can I buy the book or the workbook on its own?
No. The book and the Companion Workbook are sold together only, never separately. They are built to work together.
How do the book and the workbook work together?
Rhi explains it at the start of the book:
“The book is where you come to understand what is happening, in your brain, your nervous system, and your sense of who you are, at each phase of the change you are moving through. The workbook is where you do something about it. One explains the pattern; the other helps you interrupt it.”
“Read each lesson in this book first, then move to the matching section of the workbook while it is still fresh.”
From How to Use This Book with the Workbook, in Emerge.
Where do I start?
With the Phase Highlighter. The book asks you to complete it before anything else, so you can read, in Rhi's words, “as a map of where you actually are rather than a list of things you should be doing. Your phase is your starting point, not a verdict.”
Your result then points to the part of the Companion Workbook to open first. From there the rhythm is simple: “Read a lesson, sit with it, do the practice, and come back for the next one.”
How is the book organized?
As 31 short lessons in seven parts. Five of the parts follow the five phases:
- Part 0, Foundation: Lessons 1 to 5.
- Part I, Egg - The BadAss: Lessons 6 to 10.
- Part II, Caterpillar - The Awakening BadAss: Lessons 11 to 14.
- Part III, Chrysalis - The Cocoon: Lessons 15 to 18.
- Part IV, Emergence - The Emerging Butterfly: Lessons 19 to 22.
- Part V, Flight - The BadAss Butterfly: Lessons 23 to 30.
- Part VI, The Infinite Sky: Lesson 31, plus the Appendix.
How long does it take?
There is no set timeline, and the book is clear about that:
“This is not a race to the last lesson. Some phases ask for momentum; others, especially the Chrysalis, ask for rest.”
“You are not behind if you take a week on one lesson. You are doing it right.”
Each lesson is, in the book's words, “short enough to read in a sitting and complete enough to work with on its own.”
