My journey of self-discovery and transformation didn't begin with grand aspirations or a clear path. Instead, it started with me, a badass kid growing up in inner-city Detroit, drowning in unresolved trauma, later becoming a teenage mom, then wife, still unhealed but not realizing it.
Then juggling multiple roles trying to be everything to everyone except myself, trying to distract myself from the deep sadness I felt. In the process, I lost sight of my dreams and my potential; I lost myself.
I set out on a quest to find wisdom, truth and purpose over a decade ago. I immersed myself in all things personal growth/development, subconscious reprogramming and many other fascinating topics, driven by an insatiable curiosity and a deep desire to unlock my human potential. But knowledge alone wasn't enough. The true catalyst for change came when I applied what I learned to every aspect of my life.
It was during this intense period of study and self-reflection that I saw the parallels between my journey and the metamorphosis of a butterfly. The breakthrough came when I realized everything I went through was necessary for me to become the woman I was always meant to be.
This personal transformation ignited a deep calling to share what I had learned. Drawing from my own experiences of struggle and growth, I felt compelled to help others who feel trapped by their circumstances and unfulfilled potential. This desire gave birth to the BadAss2Butterfly concept, a framework that brings together the science of how the brain changes and the soul of how a person actually transforms, the measurable and the felt, the practical tools and the inner work, to help women break free and step into the fullness of who they are.
