You may recognize this

You've done the work. You've read the books. You understand yourself better than ever.

And still, the patterns persist. The old reactions surface. Something between the insight and the actual change keeps you circling.

That is not a failure of willpower or awareness. Understanding a pattern and practicing a different response are two separate kinds of work, and most resources hand you only one piece.

  • You understand your patterns but can't seem to stop them in the moment
  • You've done therapy, journaling and the inner work, and something still feels incomplete
  • You move forward, then slide back, and wonder why change doesn't stick
  • You know what you want your life to look like but can't bridge the distance from here to there
  • You collect tools and frameworks, and application is where everything stalls

But knowledge alone wasn't enough. The true catalyst for change came when I applied what I learned to every aspect of my life.

Rhi Wright, from the introduction to Emerge

What Emerge is

Two parts that work as one.

The Emerge Foundation System is the full Emerge book and the Emerge Companion Workbook, built to work together as a single transformation experience, from the first page to the last exercise.

The book · 197 pages

Understand the pattern

Emerge: The Science and Soul of Personal Transformation is where you come to understand what is happening at each phase of the change you are moving through. It is built as 31 short lessons, and every core lesson carries two layers: The Science and The Soul.

The workbook · 115 pages

Interrupt it

The Emerge Companion Workbook is where you do something about it. It gives you the prompts, trackers and exercises that turn each idea into practice, organized by the same five phases as the book.

Reading without doing leaves the pattern in place. Doing without understanding rarely lasts. You want both.

From "How to Use This Book with the Workbook" in Emerge

The method

Science and Soul, and honest about which is which.

The science of how the brain changes and the soul of how a person actually transforms. The measurable and the felt. The practical tools and the inner work. Every core lesson carries both layers, so the evidence and the meaning arrive together.

The Science

Neuroplasticity, the brain's capacity to change with practice. How habits and beliefs form. The Negative Neural Loop, BA2B's name for a familiar pattern of thought and behavior that keeps running on autopilot, and how to interrupt it. Lessons on the nervous system, and on food, movement, sleep and breath, offered as phase-informed suggestions rather than prescriptions.

Where the evidence is early or limited, the book says so.

The Soul

Self-awareness, radical acceptance, stillness, shadow integration, surrender and radical self-love. Astrology and numerology appear too, and the book labels them plainly as "a symbolic framework for self-reflection, not an empirically established system."

Use them as mirrors, or skip them. No belief is required.

The map

Five phases, held loosely.

The BA2B framework borrows its shape from the butterfly's metamorphosis, used here as a metaphor and a map. Each phase carries two names, and the book and the workbook follow the same five.

  1. Egg - The BadAss

    Foundation · Book Part I, Lessons 6 to 10 · Workbook Phase 1

This phase often feels like gathering: a quiet inventory of who you are and what you are carrying forward. The work is self-definition. You name what you value, what you believe and what you stand for, and clarity becomes your safety.

  2. Caterpillar - The Awakening BadAss

Excavation · Book Part II, Lessons 11 to 14 · Workbook Phase 2

Old habits unravel and truth surfaces. This phase often feels like movement and mess. The work is to meet the patterns that shaped you and witness them without rushing to fix anything. Here, discomfort signals growth.

  3. Chrysalis - The Cocoon

Integration · Book Part III, Lessons 15 to 18 · Workbook Phase 3

Everything quiets. From the outside it can look like nothing is happening, and this phase often feels tender and slow. The work is rest, stillness and trusting the unseen work. The workbook's somatic and nervous system reset practices all live in this section.

  4. Emergence - The Emerging Butterfly

Redesign · Book Part IV, Lessons 19 to 22 · Workbook Phase 4

This phase is about designing what fits. You begin to shape a life, a space or a body of work that matches who you have become. Create gently. You are still becoming.

  5. Flight - The BadAss Butterfly

    Embodiment · Book Part V, Lessons 23 to 30 · Workbook Phase 5

Flight is not a finale. You bring all five phases into one living rhythm: the art of becoming without burning out, with room for leadership, service and legacy.

The book's own advice: hold the five phases loosely. You will move through them out of order, revisit them, and sometimes live in two at once. Not sure where you are right now? The Phase Highlighter is a free 30 statement self-reflection, and your result shows right away.

Inside the Companion Workbook

Organized by phase, not by lesson.

The Emerge Companion Workbook runs 115 pages. It opens with a Foundation section, then gives each of the five phases its own set of exercises. Each phase begins with a first exercise, and its exercises end with a Phase Reflection for that phase.

Emerge Companion Workbook, cover, by Rhi Wright

Begin where you are

The Phase Highlighter Assessment sits in the Foundation section. Your result is a starting point for reflection and a guide to which phase section to open first.

Read a lesson, then work the matching section

The workbook follows the same five phases as the book, so insight has somewhere to go while it is still fresh.

A rhythm, not a deadline

The workbook suggests a simple rhythm. Weekly: a deep dive into one new exercise. Daily: journal, breathe, observe. Monthly: revisit your insights and track what has changed.

Built to be returned to

The phases repeat and evolve. In the workbook's words, you will move through them many times, each cycle revealing a deeper version of you.

How the two fit together

The rhythm the book recommends.

These four steps come from "How to Use This Book with the Workbook," at the front of Emerge.

  1. Start with the Phase Highlighter

It points to the phase you are in right now, so you can read the book as a map of where you actually are rather than a list of things you should be doing. Your phase is your starting point, not a verdict.

  2. Read a lesson, then work the matching section

The book gives you the concept and the reason it works. The workbook gives you the prompts, trackers and exercises that turn it into practice.

  3. Build your Butterfly Blueprint as you go

The Butterfly Blueprint is the through-line that holds your work together. Capture what surfaces, revisit it at the end of each phase, and it becomes a record of how your patterns are shifting over time.

  4. Move at the pace of your nervous system

This is not a race to the last lesson. Some phases ask for momentum. Others, especially the Chrysalis, ask for rest. If a section brings up more than you can hold in one sitting, slow down.

Questions

Common questions about Emerge.

Do I have to read the book front to back?

No. The book suggests you start with the Phase Highlighter so you can read it as a map of where you actually are. It is built as 31 short lessons, each complete enough to work with on its own. Read a lesson, then work the matching section of the workbook, and return to earlier lessons whenever you need them.

How is the workbook organized?

By phase, not by lesson. It opens with a Foundation section that holds the Phase Highlighter Assessment and your Daily Practice Setup, then gives each of the five phases its own exercises. The exercises in each phase end with a Phase Reflection for that phase. See every section and exercise

How long does it take to work through?

There is no set timeline. The workbook says it plainly: there is no deadline for transformation. Its suggested rhythm is a deep dive into one new exercise each week, a daily moment to journal, breathe and observe, and a monthly look back at what has changed. The book adds that you are not behind if you take a week on one lesson.

I am in therapy. Can I use Emerge alongside it?

Emerge is educational personal development. It is not therapy, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are working with a provider, ask them whether it fits alongside your care. If you are in crisis, please seek licensed professional support first.

Read the full disclaimer

Do I need to believe in astrology or numerology?

No. Those lessons sit on the Soul side of the book on purpose, and the book describes them as "a symbolic framework for self-reflection, not an empirically established system." Use them as mirrors, or skip them.

What do I get with the digital edition?

Two PDF files: the book (197 pages) and the Emerge Companion Workbook (115 pages).

What is in the print bundle?

A printed, perfect bound copy of the book and a printed, coil bound copy of the Companion Workbook, plus the digital edition. Printing and shipping are handled by a print partner. Shipping and returns are covered in the Refund Policy.

Can I buy the book or the workbook on its own?

No. The Emerge Foundation System is the book and the Companion Workbook, sold together and never separately. They are built to work as one.

Can I take the Phase Highlighter before I decide?

Yes. It is free. Leave your email at the end and your result shows right away. Take the Phase Highlighter

What about refunds?

Refunds and returns for both formats are set out in the Refund Policy. Please read it before you buy, and contact us if anything is unclear.

Whenever you are ready

You were never broken. You were becoming.

Emerge was never meant to tell you who to become. It was meant to help you recognize what is already stirring inside you and give you the courage, language, and capacity to meet it.
